Come to our Garden Walk and Help Us Raise funds for Sober Living Scholarships!

Join us for a Garden Walk Saturday July 12 from 10am--2pm of two gardens! Purchase your $15 admission ticket and start your walk at the my garden located at 4827 S. 94 St Greenfield, WI. Then walk a half block south to the second garden at 4881 S. 94th St. Enjoy both gardens with perennials, winding paths to secret spaces, water features, and garden art while supporting a meaningful cause!
All proceeds will go to the Ethan Monson-Dupuis Recovery Fund which provides sober living scholarships to the Culver Alumni House, a sober living residence located on the Aurora Behavioral Health campus in Wauwatosa, WI. $450 will pay for one month's rent for someone learning how to live a sober lifestyle surrounded by the support of others.
The image in this post is in my garden and reminds us that gardening is not about instant gratification. It takes time to create a cohesive and pleasing tapestry of plant type, color, and bloom time. Hard work, patience, and resolve to try again when plants don't thrive is rewarded over time with a pleasing vista that brings tranquility and beauty to one's garden. This is similar to the process of planting sobriety firmly in a body, mind and soul that has been ravaged by addiction. It requires hard work, tenacity, and an unshakable belief in the future reality of one's sober self. Just like I can't manage my garden on my own (I couldn't do it without my husband Jeff), people in recovery need support as they nurture the seeds of their new addiction-free life.
We’d be honored to walk you through our mini-oases and share with you the story behind each plant, the placement of stones, each unique piece of art and more. We hope to inspire your efforts to build connection between nature and our collective hope for tomorrow.
